Thank god it’s Friday – and I say that without a hint of snarkiness. The was one of those whirlwind weeks where we never quite felt things calm down. Tess was up all night, every night; I was back full-time; we had bank meetings, went back to the gym, had house excitement (walls!!!), lots of random extra work – it was just a mite more turbulent than our normal pace. It’s not necessarily going to slow down this weekend, but at least we’ll have the excuse of it being our time.
Tess seems huge to me. She turned a corner with tummy time; now she hates it but is intrigue by it for a few minutes first. She’s grabbing things: her new favorite trick is to manhandle a blanket, but at some point she pulls it over her face and can’t get it off, which makes her frustrated. Her sleeping/eating schedule is so wonky we feel like a tyrant took over the house! She’s her sweet, fabulous self with a stray dash of cranky.
She slept 11.5 hours last night, after a week of waking up multiple times every night. She’s sleeping now. The growth spurts just keep on coming. 🙂
Wow! In just a week Tess looks more like a toddler than a baby! She sure is cute. Time flies!
PS: Dave, keep the pics of construction coming.
