Tess has been talking about fireworks since last July. It was amazing to watch her excitement leading up to the fireworks, as if she clearly understood what was coming. Remy was excited with her, but clearly didn’t know what he was excited about. When Adam’s spectacular performance started, Tess burst into tears and Remy asked if he could go to bed. Both curled up with us and ended up loving the show – although I think Remy got the best seat. He got to sit on Poppi’s lap, and Poppi covered his ears with his hands every time there was a boom. ridiculously cute! Remy was so comfortable, he fell asleep in that position.

We got to show Joy the best Fourth of July anywhere, and had lots of time with family. That’s what it’s all about!
